Both of these companies work!!!!

I've told you why it isn't working for you. If you don't want to believe me then fair enough.

To have a fully verified & confirmed PP account this is what you need to do:

1. Sign up for Paypal.
2. Confirm email address to "activate" account.
3. Add bank account and DD mandate.
4. Enter the two micro deposits.
5. Supply additonal information (this is required for Premier & business accs).
5. Add a credit / debit card.
6. Link credit / debit card by doing the expuse number.
7. Click on "Lift limits". Select "receiving limit of £1700" - the only one that should be there. Select "lift limits".
8. Select "confirm location". The location confirmation will fail (assuming the account is stealth) and then you will be asked to confirm by phone.
9. Once the phone code is accepted this is your account fully verified & confirmed.
10. The receiving limit may not disappear though (this is a technical problem on Paypal UK at the moment). A phone call / email to PP will rectify.

This is the way to do it. BOTH TAMAR & RING CENTRAL WORK.

The specific numbers that you are being provided with are NOT SPECIFIC ENOUGH to the address you are using - NOTHING MORE.

Thanks for the reply,Ebayorburst.:thumb: Hope that the OP gets over this hurdle.

all phone numbers work to verify paypal as long as the phone number matches the address (in terms of correct dialling code and next 2-3 digits ) according to pp data...

You say that RING CENTRAL Works. But when I signed up they gave me a 0203 phone number for free for 7 days. So what are you saying? it works with this 0203 number ? Even thou The area address on the paypal account should be a 0208 number. Or do I have to tell them to make me a number up more closely to match my address that I have on my paypal account? Also what are the Digits that have to match? E.g. is it just the area code like 0208 or 0207 or 01923 ? or is it also the first three numbers eg. 0208 "909" - 8465 that has to match as well? Can somebody shed some light on this please ?

oompaloompa 09-07-2009 05:17 AM

Ive explained it - and in any case where does it say on any explanation that an 0203 number is ok in place of a 0208, it just says these companies work BUT on proviso you get a good matching number.

if you are for example at an address where typically the numbers are 0208 558 or similar then try and get one like that, the least you should do is get one that is 0208 5

getting a 0203 number is probably NOT GOING TO MATCH UP but I cant say for sure sure, because an 0203 number may be widely used as an extra number in the 0208 area WHY DONT YOU FIND OUT. I wouldnt risk it, I would only risk it if I had access to address.

oompaloompa 09-07-2009 05:25 AM

PS. the 0203 number they give you FOR FREE is possibly one of a batch of numbers they give to all free trialers, it will have been inputted by others in to the paypal system anyway by others.. you need to BUY ONE of your choosing....

GreenBean 09-07-2009 05:29 AM

Only as a matter of personal interest, wth are you not doing the usual CC,bank account to get paypal verified? :noidea:

How do you " need to BUY ONE of your choosing.... " ? Do I have to ring them and ask ?

oompaloompa 09-09-2009 01:17 PM

Ringcentral does'nt have Loads to choose from. There are only 10 numbers to choose from the list. And the middle of the numbers don't change at all, only the last 2 digits.

oompaloompa 09-09-2009 03:11 PM

no I was referring to lots of area codes, if it does have a close enough match then try another company. Did you say it is YOUR home address/variation of it? If so, some people have had success with the BT extra line service, callsign...

There was another site someone posted up, cant remember the name properly ''solo69'' It was 69 something that has lods on numbers.!

Hi there, I saw your post about the Paypal " confirm your location" and the reasons for its failiure.

I have always done this.

1) Signed up + add credit card
2) verify email
3) Verify business information
4) confirm location

Then I add the bank account if all the above are ok.

Are you saying that you have to add the bank then confirm the deposits before attempting the contact information?

I am having problems with this, and did not want to add the bank accounts for fear of losing my nice shiny bank accounts if paypal limits my account.

I would be grateful if you could advise me on this point.

Many thanks

Also are we saying that for example if your phone number is 0208 789678 we should try and get the phone number 0208 789 865 (with the next 3 digits after the area code?)

This is getting more difficult aswell. I have noticed for example voipfone have number that DO NOT CORRELATE with any of the local numbers at all so all you can hope for is the area code. The next digit following the area code is not EVEN in use.
