Stuck on verifying phone number for first sale/listing
 

Account has been aged over last two months with browsing etc. Everything is fresh and legit.
Just tried to list first item ( a used TV RF connector) and when trying to verify my mobile number (which is in my phone and active) I get stuck in a loop of error message saying please 'provide the correct information in the highlighted fields' . so I can't complete the call or text me option. All info is double checked and correct etc

Only thing I can think of was that I updated the spelling of my surname this morning to match the same one as my paypal account exactly.

Would this be the problem? Is it a case of just waiting a few days for it to log it? Or should I change the spelling back to what it was before?

I would give it a couple of days and then give it a go. If that doesnt then work you can always pop into chat and see if they can see what the issue is

I decided to call up this morning and the operator sorted it instantly.
Then I asked to raise limits whilst on the phone and they put me through to that dept and after a bit of a chat they raised it to 100 / £3900 woop woop

Argh, account instantly suspended upon listing first item....was a full set of 'clean' info since I've just moved house as well.
Will try the chat help support but not feeling hopeful.
Might just quit ebay for good lol

This was the same account you got the increase on?

While annoying, it might be worth to sort it out again

Yep same account.
Just spoke with chat support and they are adamant there is a valid reason for their decision and will not be reinstating my account.
Balls.....

Hope that's not the linked PP account down the drain as well

Just try setting another account up again after a few months at this address. You can use it for buying items.

Leave selling to stealth accounts. :thumb:

The Paypal will be just fine. No danger there.

Sadly the first item being listed can often lead to a permanent suspension. There are ways to minimize this happening, including listing a very low risk item.

This was in fact the second listed item.
The first being a 99p TV connector

Maybe avoid electronics as first listings in general?
