Has anyone had any luck setting up an eBay recently and not getting suspended?

Has anyone had any luck setting up an eBay account recently and not been suspended within 48 hours? I feel that my VPN IP solution may have been flawed, therefore I will soon be attempting to create another account with mobile IPs instead. However I don't want to waste money creating an account for it to be suspended 48 hours after my first listing because eBay is being anal and on a banning spree.

Has anyone created an account recently, listed an item and not been suspended shortly after?

UK eBay.

Yeah, I got hammered by the banning spree before xmas and since then I have successfully started another 4 accounts, all of which are selling without problem. Which IP are you using? I would recommend IPburger, use the firefox plugin to prevent WebRTC leak etc and you should be absolutely fine

Also, if you have a dynamic residential IP, I always recommend refreshing the IP address, and then run a VPN over the top of it. That way, if you accidentally log in without the VPN, it will not reveal a "blacklisted" or "burnt" IP address behind it. This method literally saved one of my accounts from my own blunder a few days ago!

We sell accounts on the forum and we've not had such issues. What VPN are you using to create the accounts? Is it a fresh/static IP or an IP that changes everytime you use the VPN?

Not had any issues myself, but it seems to be rising.

It's not uncommon for a new account to be suspended shortly after the first listing. This is only a soft suspension usually and if you start a live chat with ebay customer service they will usually ask you a few questions about your intentions, supply source, shipping arrangements and lead time etc and then they will re-instate it. You can ring them to do this but I recommend chat because you have more time to think of your replies.

It seems to be 50/50 split with accounts being suspended like this but I think it's just an extra security measure Ebay are rolling out.

If your setup isn't solid you will struggle to make accounts and keep them alive.

Certain things will trigger a suspension that never used to.

What item/category were you trying to sell right away?

Could be wrong but perhaps that's the problem, especially if it's a branded item.

I sold old football programmes/books/stickers when I first opened my account it seemed to work fine.

I do not think so, tried live chat, answered all of questions, but they still refused to remove suspended without any reason......
I bet eBay maybe closed the most of new opened account without any reason in this period, maybe :yar: maybe members of this forum opened 2 many stealth ebay accounts recently:attention: then ebay feel uncomfortably

Electronics on a new account is very risky

Using a well known VPN is not the best way to work with. You are probably looking for a dedicated IP. I suggest you to research for reliable proxies providers or simply use IPBurger.

Re: Has anyone had any luck setting up an eBay recently and not getting suspended?

If you are in the UK then there is no need to use VPN, and when creating the accounts especially, could cause problems

Mobile networks give you plenty of IP addresses that are far better to use
