Is This what You Call DNS Leaking...?

Hi guys,

I am trying to create some stealth accounts and bought some proxies.

However when I run an IP check... it shows UK (that's ok) but the DNS shows another country. Basically "DNS is Leaking"

https://ibb.co/1dCRDQL

The seller tells me not to worry... I'll have no problems... mmmm...

However, this is something that I am sure will raise a red flag with eBay. Am I right?

Thanks

1) go here : https://public-dns.info/
2) find two DNS servers in the country you need them to be in
3) go into network settings
4) right click on your network adapter, go to settings, and find the DNS section
5) enter one UK DNS IP from that site as "primary" and another as "alternate"

You might have to try a few DNS servers before you get ones that will show "UK" every time when you check your IP.

This is how I got my canadian VPN connections to stop showing that I'm using USA DNS servers. I'm not certain if it works the same with proxies since they work on a different level, but it should.

I posted that, but it was with another proxy provider. I thought it was the proxies... so I bough from someone else but the same problem persist (only with other countries now). Did not mean to be impatient or ungrateful but I did not get any reply to that thread in 4 days.

The procedure would be different but it's definitely possible to modify DNS settings on a MAC.

Just google something like "how to manually modify DNS settings on a MAC" and you should be set.

Thanks I'll try that search, I have been looking since yesterday, a very frustrating exercise, lol :-)

I'll report back in case it helps other members

Why don't you use a sim card and save yourself the headache? There's Three, Vodafone O2, etc.

I actually bought 4 uk sim cards recently... forgive my ignorance but what would I do with that? would you use them to get a new IP instead of using proxies perhaps? I am not in the UK... Please elaborate, it seems like a plan :-)

I thought you were in the UK, hence my suggestion.
