FYI for future reference a seller shouldn't have to sell you using a bad proxy isnt a good idea... Just need to have a bit of awareness of how accounts work and how eBay will look at the IP address your using.

No need for that information. He's had his money back why should the seller's name be dragged out here?

Its highly unlikely the seller was the reason the account got limited in this case so really no need for them to be named

The seller just issued a refund to be able to focus on other business - the most likely reason for the account being limited was the use of a poor proxy

Yes but you dont sell and you dont know the forum rules it does not matter if buyer got refund the thread/feeback/comments stays under forum rules which is mentioned by the one of mod

Information on this thread makes clear that OP obtained and used his own proxy on the account he purchased from the seller.

In light of that, are you still of the opinion that the thread should have stood?

I sincerely doubt the seller was at fault, and it was most likely the proxy that caused the account to fall. But mistakes can and do happen from time to time even with the most experienced of us.

I do not think it is needed for us to know who the seller is. If there is a persistant problem with the sellers products, I am quite sure appropriate action would be taken Aspkin himself to not only protect us but also the integrity of his site and business.

It has been sorted out now between the OP and his seller, so let's all just move on.

No!...the seller did not sell me a proxy!!..I got what I thought was a reliable source, I must have been wrong, I know I didn't do anything wrong regards eBay,so it must have been the proxy I bought.....what else can I do, it could happen again.

IT WAS NOT THE SELLERS FAULT.......

How do eBay "look" at the IP address....I don't understand everyone must check their eBay account from everywhere...home,work,mobile,when on holiday...surely all different IP addresses

If IP was the issue, it's most likely just a matter of you using an IP from a range of IP's that's been reported for abuse in the past.

Bad luck to a degree possibly yes

But at the same time just using a proxy without really researching into what sort of IP addresses the issue is a bit of a haphazard way to go about getting your IP address

If you’re based in the UK just use a dongle in future

A prepaid Wi-Fi dongle from any supplier?....what does that do? Any special carrier best??

You really may want to read the stealth guide over if your not sure what the IP address would do. Its important to understand the more basic parts of an account before trying to run one

^^ The stealth guide is an absolute must for you. Should have read it before you purchased an account. You're guaranteed to burn many more accounts as you seem to be struggling with the basics of stealth.

Read the stealth guide over, then troll this forum for more information to complement the guide.

When you think you're ready, you can go on to purchase accounts.
Just be aware that eBay is on a suspension spree on new accounts; whether you purchase or make them yourself - you may still have this hurdle.
