New IP for stealth account

Hi all,

I am in the UK and my internet provider is Virgin media on hub 3.

I set up a dropshipping on ebay from Ali express, however 2 weeks later i go suspended with no reason why.

I was doing quite well and want to try and get back into it.
Ihave been reading a lot and it says i need a new IP address, however i have not got a clue how to get this. I have seen suggestions on using IPburger, but i want my IP to show as close to where i currently live as possible.

I dont think i want multiple stealth accounts as i wasnt doing it to make lots of money, just a bit on the side.

I think once i have a new IP i am able to do everything else.

Any help greatly appriciated.

Thanks

Depending on your ISP, some can change IP address by unplugging your router for a few minutes and plugging it back in. You can check the IP before and after by using websites like - https://whatismyipaddress.com/

(This worked for me using a Sky router, unsure if it's accurate for other ISPs)

Because you did not log IPs, you should no longer use this. Get a Three UK unlimited contract for £18.99 instead and make sure you log IPs with your new eBay account.

They refrain from giving you specific reasons because people are known to get back on by circumventing the given reason.
But not to worry, you can use stealth accounts to get back on eBay. You'd need to read the stealth guide and then purchase an account from the marketplace. When you're back in business, you can then make your stealth account at your convenience.

Just use Three UK or any of the big four.

That's fine. You'd still need to know how to run stealth accounts irrespective of the number of accounts you decide to run.

Don't be so sure. eBay is a minefield now. Veteran stealthers are not finding it as easy as it used to be a year ago.

If you want to stand a chance to have a stable account, you've got to know all the basics that are required to run a stealth account. The stealth guide is what you need.

If you cut corners, you're likely to come back here for a different solution.

Dropshipping is your issue, get IP burger or use mobile broadband for ip

I started logging IP years ago, figured out it was a waste of time. I have strong accounts that are operated by the filthiest IP you can imagine!

Drop shipping from aliexpress? death pretty quickly.

Use a credit card, buy your own stock, pay off card, reinvest profit. Far safer and easier.

Just turn off your router, wait 15 minutes, and turn it back on. Check the IP has changed and job done.

Nothing more to do than that.

As for dropshipping, you're fighting a losing battle because your metrics will take a hammering and eventually you'll be suspended.

Does not work with every provider, many other ways to get new ip under 30 sec!

I have done the same thing, but I kept it un-plugged overnight. Might be overkill but doesnt hurt I guess.

My talktalk router used to change ip just by restarting so it took about 30 seconds , when i upgraded to fibre i had to do a complete reset so takes about 2 mins. Even then it doesn't always change i would say 20% of the time it needs a second reset to get a different ip.
Seems to depend on the router model aswel,my older super router does this but a newer one refused to change even after a reset. might have changed by unplugging it for a while but i never bothered and use the older one.

Re: New IP for stealth account

Thanks for the help guys.
So is dropshipping a dieing model to go into? I have been reading a lot about it and they seem to suggest if I went to wholesale dropshipping, eBay would look more favourable?

Also I have a different bank account and card I can use, so that won't be a problem with PayPal, however what about my name? Won't my bank know that PayPal is I'm a different name to that of my bank account.

I'm worried I will get suspended again. I have gone back through what I did and the only thing that jumps out is that I didn't upload tracking info as the Corona virus kicked off and all the factories were on lock down
