Paypal 2 tier login?

Paypal requesting i have upto date number by end of month, noticed they going to use 2 tier login?

Add an extra layer of security to your account by using a one-time security code in addition to your password each time you log in.

Anyone set this up yet?

2SA is being enabled on all accounts - you should not need to use it each time you log in but its going to be really important now to have a SIM linked to the PP that you have access to

I've been asked to confirm the number every time I log in but haven't been set a deadline as of yet. Is now a good time to change the expired numbers with active ones? I used to be forced to confirm the number only by the email client in a week and Ebay when listing the first item so didn't bother updating my old numbers.

yes. it is hard to have all phones of all accounts, but it is safer. SOmebody hacked my laptop and stole 2 paypal acc and 2 gmails. If i would had lets say 2 step verification - it would not be possible

On the other side, if you lose your sim cards in one way or another or forget to top them up so they don't expire, wouldn't you potentially lose your access to your pp as well if they ask you to receive a text message or a call almost every time you log in?

I think if you have cookies and cache of a given account, when you log in sms code will be not needed. Different i think will be logn from and unknown ip or pc

if you enable the 2fa on your account you wont need the sms verification every time you login , the 2fa app is an option you can choose now in paypal , and you can use it to login every time , and to be careful not to loose your paypal if you lost your phone , simply keep a screen shot of the barcode you scan when adding the account to your 2fa app,
so you can add it again to another phone if you lost the old one ,
