Buyer says - ECP number so I can collect from store?
 

Sold item buyer made payment but put a note which says : Hiya I will just need an ECP number so I can collect from store.

Whats an ECP number and do I send the item to the paypal address via Ebay postage labels?

Never dealt with ECP before no idea

I guess they have / or think they have used a collection point address, e.g to a local supermarket / newsagents.

You should be able to see this in the paypal payment the ECP number would show, as part of the paypal payment in the address.

But check the address, see if it is a business address or a residential / home address for delivery.

I would message the buyer and quote their address and say it looks to be going to your home address (if it is a residential home address)

Once you’ve dispatched the the item eBay will automatically provide the buyer with an ECP number so there’s no need for you to provide one, I suggest you tell the buyer to look at there purchase history in eBay for the item they’ve purchased and the ecp number will be displayed there.

Yes that’s correct and it’s also displayed on the buyer purchase history in eBay and once delivered at the collection point the buyer also receives a confirmation email from eBay confirming the item has arrived and is ready to collect displaying the ecp number along with the barcode.
