| | | CaptainComedown | 05-08-2020 09:48 AM | A bit of quick advice please? Potential scammer Hey folks, hope everyone is keeping well!
So I received a message from a buyer today, claiming the item he purchased on the 25/04/2020 had not arrived. He didn't realize it was tracked.
I have checked the tracking number (Royal Mail) and it says it was delivered on the 04/05/2020.
I have supplied the tracking information to the buyer and told him the item is showing as delivered.
He is now insisting that he has not received the item, which I sincerely doubt is the case.
So what should I do at this stage? Just ignore him? I presume Ebay will not help him if the tracking shows he has it?
I was thinking if I just tell him to sod off and he leaves negative feedback then Ebay will probably remove it, as I have provided tracking etc |

Contact Royal Mail and get their perspective |

Contact Royal Mail and get their perspective | I hadn't considered that, would Royal Mail be able to do anything about it? I didn't think they had any power really
I messaged him and just said "if the tracking says its delivered then it was delivered"
Hopefully he will give up and leave it, but you never know. |
| CaptainComedown | 05-08-2020 10:50 AM | Re: A bit of quick advice please? Potential scammer Its a bit tedious sometimes the amount of blatant liars and scammers on Ebay. Sometimes I'm tempted to drive to their house and just knock the door and see if they are as good at robbing people when they aren't behind a keyboard |
| afireinside86 | 05-08-2020 10:52 AM | Re: A bit of quick advice please? Potential scammer I would chase royal mail up or get the customer to ask their neighbours if they signed for it. |
| afireinside86 | 05-08-2020 10:56 AM | Re: A bit of quick advice please? Potential scammer I had similar incident where a guy a quarter of a mile away ended up signing for four alloy wheels and left them in his garden for 3 weeks. Luckily it was a little village and both premises had similar names so it was quickly sorted. |

| e2free | 05-08-2020 03:48 PM | Re: A bit of quick advice please? Potential scammer Op ignore the above advice simply ignor the buyer and even if he open case or -ve feedback that will be 100% removed and closed dont worry even if its not track as long as showing delivered on royalmail site ebay take the seller side |
| agent006140 | 05-08-2020 07:27 PM | Re: A bit of quick advice please? Potential scammer not if it is delivered 20 days before he placed the order |

I doubt this is true, unless the postman delivered it and then someone nicked it or something. I'm just ignoring him now, whats the point in having tracking if you just take everyone at their word! |

It was delivered to his workplace, which he says is open 9 - 5 six days a week. I think he was trying to rob me because he didn't know it was tracked and now is just trying to stick to his story to try and get a refund anyways. |

I figure if I show up at 10:30,there is not many shoppers there and the store clerks have begun bringing out the fresh produce . |

But did you really ship the item 20 days before he placed the order?
then the tracking would not work |
| CaptainComedown | 05-09-2020 07:50 AM | Re: A bit of quick advice please? Potential scammer Yeah I suggested he check with his neighbouring units etc but he insists that he is very friendly with the postman and that the postman says he didn't have it. Which is strange because when I spoke to the fella in the Post Office this morning he said that the only way it would be marked as delivered would be if the Postman had scanned it and marked it as delivered. So theres something strange there. |

I've has a couple of these over the years and ebay refunded them but out of their own pocket. A neutral I got from one of the still remains, ebay refuse to remove it. | these INR cases are handled by bots, bots do not read email, love story or watch videos,it goes to the carrier website with the tracking you provided and look for a match.
if tracking shows delivered,OP wins.
But buyer could still file chargeback with his CC ISSUER | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 07:14 PM. | |
