Again, you haven't answered my questions, who evidence of you got of someone being taking to court for using stealth details?

So it's been over a month and nothing much has happened. I returned the form to Natwest but they havent yet transferred my money. I believe they have big backlogs though because of the corona virus situation. I have been told a decision will be made within 60 days. I understand that this is just a standard response.

Having spoken to a number of people in this forum and in a group on Facebook it seems that Natwest are closing lots of accounts at the moment and with the people I spoke to who had their accounts closed last year / at the start of the year they have not received any problems with their credit reports and have nothing recorded against them with CIFAS (which was my main concern).

Overall I think I will be ok as my Barclays, Halifax, Nationwide, Co-OP, HSBC and Metro Bank accounts are all still open and working fine. If there had been something serious I am sure they would have closed quickly.

I will keep you all advised...

It may also depend on the types of accounts you have as my basic and saver accounts never have problems but any current accounts I open seem to get closed

I have similar problem now. What happened in your case? A few months have passed. Did you have any issues?

You should do a DSAR to CIFAS .

If RBS have popped a CIFAS marker it won't show up on your own credit report, CIFAS only put protective registration markers visable to you.

You need to search the actual CIFAS database as it's highly likely they've have left a misuse of facilty marker.

I have beaten natwest and halifax - go to the financial omnibudsmen keep all evidence and docs EVERYTHING..you'll win at FOS. Halifax had to pay me £300 compensation too

It's been over 6 months since they closed my accounts. I never found out why and nothing ever happened. I have done DSAR requests with CIFAS and nothing was listed. I have had no problems whatsoever since. Just had to move to another bank...

I had this with Barclays, they shut me down with no explanation.

And did you ever have any CIFAS markers left - or any problem opening bank accounts / obtaining credit since?

Well I haven't tried to obtain credit since then, but I was able to open 2 new bank accounts.

Mine all accounts were closed by Natwest. I have been using them for 15 years

Loyds and Halifax closed my accounts as well. i have never used halifax and i used Lloyds for few months. never used them for stealth, i used lloyds on my main eBay real account, they both sent me the exact same letter.

Did you make too many cash withdrawals consecutively ?

I just don't get why banks would out of nowhere close your accounts.

I have not used halifax bank account.
Loyds, I have received around £5000 per day for 3 days from Ayden eBay and sent them abroad.
Also got loads of credits, but ot in debt.

Straight up money laundering suspicions then.

5 grand a day for 3 days straight followed by transferring the funds out of the account to an international bank account ? come on. You set off their algorithms / bots
