I registered a new UK ebay account. Verified phone number about 10 days later. Everything looked fine but there's an alert in red on "Seller account" page.

95% of the time you will see that message during site maintenance.

For the US, it's mostly seen between 12-1am PDT

If this message is seen on selling page, that is due to site maintenance.

But I always saw this alert on "Seller account" page no matter when I logged into my account for more than a week after I verified the phone number.

The problem is that I have 5 new accounts with this kind of alert on "Seller account" page. All of them failed to set up PayPal as automatic payment method.

What shows up if you tried logging onto the .com platform? Just wondering (as comparison)

Hmm I wonder if there is an issue of the account going into a general suspension then - hopefully not but if the account is across ebay platforms...could be

That's good - I haven't had this problem to propose any solution then wait it out 24-48 hours.

Haven't set up automatic payment method yet as PayPal returned "We're sorry. We weren't able to set up pre-approved payments at this time. Please try again later."

Will wait for another 48 hours and try PayPal again.

I don't mind adding an extra vcc on ebay as long as ebay allows me to pass first listing though.
