| StealthHarry | 06-07-2020 09:43 PM | Selling face masks We’re in June now
March was different as it was the beginning of the pandemic - now stock is somewhat back to normal so don’t bash me for this post
Anyway it’s apparently outlawed to sell face masks 3ply on eBay according to a eBay rep
Anyway there’s currently 8200+ search results
And a market of I’d say £10k a day being sold on eBay
Is it worth while listing or will the account go toast
I’ve been keeping a eye on a few sellers who have been selling for well over 2 months strong
Thank you |

| BenMart3 | 06-08-2020 09:14 AM | Re: Selling face masks It is really a good idea to sell face mask because of covid-19 attack. Do you have your own company for production? |
| StealthHarry | 06-08-2020 08:45 PM | Re: Selling face masks Search eBay for face masks
It’s quite wild the amount of sellers selling
They did say it was banned but it’s clearly not |
| LOMBOK | 06-09-2020 06:19 AM | Re: Selling face masks Try it and see what happens. Then report back with your findings.
Yes, there are plenty of sellers on ebay for these. I have also seen plenty of them getting naru'd. My view is you have missed the boat and needed to be in on this way back in January. If you look around all the news sites, they are all advising to use a face covering and not a mask.
I see some people trying to sell home made ones for £6 each plus postage on the facebook selling pages. The comments do make me chuckle. |
Re: Selling face masks As long as you don’t mention covid or coronavirus or make assumptions to any virus you should be ok |
| StealthHarry | 06-11-2020 04:24 PM | Re: Selling face masks Will try it on a private seller account even if it gets toast I won’t be too gutted
Thanks, will report back finding - that makes sense January would’ve been the best time
Thank you all for your replies |

| tuffguy | 06-15-2020 07:18 AM | Re: Selling face masks Hi,
I was selling face masks back in April and early May but then it became almost impossible, as certain keywords in your title such as MASK VIRUS COVID CORONA MEDICAL, etc will automatically stop you submitting the listing, as they throw up errors, advising that face masks cannot now be listed on Ebay due to 'price gouging' (inflated prices).
I was able to sell the last of my stock by avoiding the key words, which resulted in trickle selling the rest of my stock.
However, the listings were eventually found and removed, along with a warning that if I relisted, then I would face a 7 day selling ban.
Anyone looking to sell face masks now has missed the boat!
I hope the above personal experience will help you with your decision.
Best regards,

We don't really use Etsy here in the UK.
We're all about Amazon, Ebay and Facebook

| ALIYOU | 06-16-2020 02:12 PM | Re: Selling face masks you can list then just not the ppe or face mask catorgorys, dont use the medical or surgical in description or title . sold 20,000 masks in april , but there only 2 or 3 sellers selling reusable, washable the ones i had tho so sold very quick , know it very hard to even sell 1k to many sellers |

I’d recommend not to use keywords such as surgical medical flu corona covid19 etc in the listings maybe try putting paint masks etc |

| StealthHarry | 06-20-2020 05:04 PM | Re: Selling face masks I’ve not bothered listing them
The risk outweighs the reward - it’s getting hard to build accounts now anyway with MP coming in and all
The accounts I have I just want a good Christmas innings and would much rather let the account get burned after it’s made a couple of bucks rather than peanuts
It’s obviously a stealth EU Passed account don’t want it to get burned in search of peanuts
Thank you all for your advise much appreciated |
