No message about EU receiving limit?

So one of my new accounts has made £2050 so far and I have still not received the message from Paypal asking me for documents.... usually this message appears from around the £1600 mark.

Any idea what is going on? Has anyone else had a similar issue?

Cheers

What date was your first ever payment into this paypal account?

This happened to me a few weeks ago, it was a newly created account with around 2 months sales. I believe I reached around £4k in sales before they eventually asked for ID.

Re: No message about EU receiving limit?

I had received over 4k in a few months and only got asked for I.D last night. But its only the soft limitation. I can still spend, withdraw etc.

Usually they hit me with that email after £1.650.

The email says 'Verify your identity to continue using Paypal' But there is no date deadline in the email to supply the docs needed.

11th April 2020, why? Does it make a difference now because we are no longer in the EU?

My experience has been that once authorities/banks/credit companies etc get a right to pry they rarely, if ever, surrender it

Yeah I would agree with that, I don't trust Paypal at all, especially since half their decisions are made by call-centre monkeys that can barely count to 10 ffs

Its a trap.Positive side is you may receiving more money before the EU lifting risk but yes it will hit in the final.most I seen from 1 of my account is 4800GBP before the hard limit.
Just keep regular withdraw, dont leave too much in there you be fine.

The 1650 message not showing anymore when you received 1650 makes you feel like there is no EU LIMIT anymore and starting to left money in there then they boom you with a hard limit?
I guess they starting to do this because of many people knowing well on this sort of lifting failure rate thing and clean out the balance before they upload DOCs.
This way you never know when they will limit you and they may have higher chance to take some of your money hold 180 days.make sence?

Never ever leave money in Paypal - I only ever leave enough for fees

I’m finding this too. Received the usual soft limit at €1800 but am still going almost at €3000 without hitting the hard limit.

Gives more time to establish the account for when the hard limit eventually hits.

Just trying to figure out their little game by building a larger picture. Some seem to go a couple of years before getting hit, others a couple of months. I can't work it out yet. One theory is it may have something to do with MP coming in, another is they have just decided to stop alerting people so they don't pull all their cash out. Maybe both are linked.

Hmm so I should keep selling at this point? I have temporarily suspended sales from that account until I figure out what is happening, as most of the money was made within the past 2 weeks and is therefore under 21 day hold ffs,

I would get the money out before I did anything else

Yeah I was thinking that, I know that under the hard limitation I will not be able to receive any more funds but I presume I cannot withdraw existing funds either?
I've never had the hard limitation before, I always run them up tight to 2100, filter the money out and then submit documents

Oh they'll let you receive! You just can't do anything else. That's why I slow it down considerably, get my money out, sell a bit more to tip it over, then submit the docs. Always worked for me in the past.

Get your cash out first then take things from there. Who knows what the future holds. No pun intended.

Re: No message about EU receiving limit?

You will get the email with title "We need more information about you" once you have received €1,800,
Once the pending balance is moved to your available balance from ebay holds you will then have received the money.

The email with title "Verify your identity to continue using PayPal" is unusual and it has happened on 2 of my accounts, has no deadline. on one account there was a case opened up within paypal but i logged in and resolved, as soon as i refunded that email came.
Not sure what caused it to flag on other account

Yeah that's how I usually do it, it just complicates it because once I get the money out and start selling again, I have no idea when I will be asked for documents. Some people are saying they have made 4k before being asked. The thing that worries me is if they skip straight to a hard limitation without any notice
