Our Morrisons don't do any visa or mastercard any more. ASDA had mastercard about a month ago. Wilko had visa before lockdown, I haven't been there since though. Same with WHSmith who had the mastercard ones.

Sainsbury still does pre paid cards maybe try different store

I tried two in my area one had the cards but they wouldnt scan on the till she told me they were taking them down

I went to another store and they had all been taken off

Don abit of google and all UK Stores have been told off maybe fined because they are over charging

Why don't you purchase from e2free above and save yourself the trouble and a few quid?

My local is still stocking them. But no doubt they will be removed as well if what you are saying is true.

Some sainsburys still got them but they wont scan so are useless

Bought vanilla mastercard from Sainsbury’s today, no issues at all.

My local asda still stocks vanilla VISA/mastercard gift cards

If they are stocked, they should scan and work. They will probably phase them out but I doubt the existing stock in shops will just stop working.

I had a similar problem in Tesco with the gospendit cards a while back. Cards on the shelf but wouldn't scan. Nobody could tell me why and they took them all off the display saying they will ask the merchandiser. A couple of weeks later they were back on the shelf and still wouldn't scan. Same thing happened, they removed them all and since then have stopped doing them.

Since then I have bought at WHSmith, Wilkos and ASDA. Morrisons stopped doing them too.

They all been stoped because they are charging to much commission

Bought a couple in ASDA 2 days ago and they work without problem.
