Paypal restricted but Ebay seems fine
 

Hi folks, one of my paypal accounts has been restricted and they are asking for invoices, ID, Proof of address, and all the usual stuff. Its a hard restriction, meaning I cannot withdraw any money from it, or use it at all.

If I just create another stealth Paypal account using the same name but maybe a different address and phone number, will I be able to link it to my Ebay account and continue selling?

I can't be bothered sending them docs, because I have lots of accounts and they're disposable, but if its as simple as throwing a new Paypal together and adding it, then I may as well save the Ebay Acc

Anyone any experience with this scenario, or have any tips for how to set up the new Paypal so it won't cause any issue with Ebay. I'm guessing I will need to use the same name but a different email, phone number and address?

A member has pm'd me with some advice so I think I know what to do now.

I intend to:

create a new Paypal account from a different portable browser, using a mobile dongle
set the PP up with the same name as the stealth Ebay but with a new address and phone number (real UK Sim)
change the address on the Stealth Ebay to match the new Paypal account
Link the new paypal to the ebay account

Does that seem right to you?

You can add new pp but dont link it to ebay.
Just add the new email when you list and pay your fees with credit card.

Have you tested that method? I thought it might look bad to have a different Paypal for payments and a different one linked?

You add one paypal not two.

Hi there, I'm at the same junction, trying to think what's next.
What do you mean by adding the new email? How eventually am I supposed to get money on eBay if not with the new PayPal?
I'm in a similar story, where my PayPal was suspended but the eBay store is good. I have now opened a new PayPal account, but eventually, I will have to connect it to the old eBay. Can't think of a way around it...:croc:

Not sure what the problem is here, add the new one to the ebay account and carry on selling. Just remember to remove the old paypal from ebay if its attached. :heh:

1- create new paypal in same name but diff address
2 - remove old paypal if attached to ebay
3 - Add new paypal email address into where you put the email for where you want the payment to go too and thats it.
4 - i also change the address on ebay to match the new stealth address on paypal as people do move so this has never been an issue for me.

Alright, I got it. But PayPal can easily link the old eBay store to the new PayPal account, can't they? That's a very obvious link.
If they blocked your PayPal account, and you are still selling, on another PayPal (which happens to have the same name) and with the same eBay store - they will link the accounts - wouldn't they?

I think by "ebay store" he means a regular ebay selling account, not an actual subscription store. Unless I'm mistaken...

When it comes to paying Ebay fees there is an option whereby you can send payment to Ebay through the mail - postal orders or money orders

If you check your account where it shows what you owe it gives you the option to make a one time payment and you can then mail it in

You need to be sharp off the ball at the beginning of the month to allow for delays in the postal system

Then of course there is the costs involved

But it worked for me when I had a similar problem

They can but how long the pp lasts before it goes down can vary - for some people, it can last a long time

What do you achieve by that? You still have a PayPal connected for accepting the payments.

Sounds like opening new backup accounts was the right thing to do. It also seems like PayPal don't mind running such accounts for a while. It's very tricky.

Have 2 good PayPal account but oldies linked 2 ebay account mcu099 status now .

Have is 1 good eBay account but bad PayPal :( what you think any Paypal can linked ?
Or ebay will suspended this account ?

You can try linking a new pp to the eb account but again, never know when the pp will go down again.

You will need to revisit your business model and see what caused your old pp to go down too

If i added new pp but no linked only arrived money maybe work?
