EB acc hacked by someone OR by EB Staff itself Or what

Recently someone try to list 6 items from my ended item which flagged eb system and my eb acc got suspended.

These 6 items are all email delivery items (high risk) which I had live in past but I was told to remove them which I did ended and removed which then landed in ended item list.

No one touched my system from family, I did not try listing, I do not have any software which will list automatically, who has done it?

Had chat with eb, they asked to speak over the phone, but all tries they are not listening at all, acc still suspended.

I guess it might just be eb system which somehow tried listing or eb staff itself, I never come across hack in my computer. What has happened and what do I need to do in order to save eb acc and computer

I am stressed out, 2 years old eb acc, 300 feedback, Plz help

Not sure what help can be provided - maybe try chatting with another agent and hoping...eb can be fairly ruthless somethings :(

First you need to scan your system and see if you have any malware.

The more personal information is present in an email may relate to "Spear phishing"

There's very little you can do to get your account back, especially at this time of the year. Someone back at eBay will always think you ate your cake...

A couple of things I do for security:

1. I Turn on 2FA on anything that supports it, i.e. eBay, PayPal, Amazon, e-mail...
Don't use google authenticator. If your device dies, it takes your accounts hostage. Use Authy instead.

2. I Use open-source password managers like Bitwarden and KeePass and don't use one password twice.

3. I Don't work and play within the same user account. 'Dirty' browsing should be moved to other user accounts/computer or VM.

4. I haven't used and anti-virus in the last 10 years. Automatic on-access/on-execution scan is not for me. Most of these AVs give folks a false sense of security - while sometimes unwittingly allowing identity theft through. They also bring your once blazingly fast system to its knees.
I prefer to use Shadow defender. If something finds its way in, restarting the PC gets it back to the way it was.

To put in more clearly, if Bitdefender, Norton and Avira are antiviruses, then Shadow defender is a vaccine.

Very good stuff pandora! have to agree with not keeping an anti virus for the most part. These days malware worth anything are encrypted and undetected to anti viruses, very easily done if you know what you're doing. A firewall is really all you need, i'd personally recommend comodo firewall. I was not aware of such a software like shadow defender, will check that out even though i never download or open anything from unverified source but it can come in handy.
