eBay asked me to upgrade to business account

Sales amount in Q1 was about £3800. Why did ebay ask me to upgrade?

If I don't upgrade, will ebay block my selling privilege?

Same thing happened to one of my accounts. Bots may have randomly selected it.

With mine they didn't even say upgrade just ended all of my listings and restricted selling saying we asked you to upgrade a while back ( they never did ).

I've upgraded now anyway. And everything is back to normal. Just really annoying that I have lost my selling history on best selling items and positions in the search results.

They will definitely restrict selling.

Yeah I had to pay over 150 GBP to get all my items re-listed but that's ok. They are or good till cancelled so won't ever be paying any more fees just updating stock levels.

As I know, eBay charges GTC listings fees monthly. The advantage for personal accounts is the free listing allowance every month.
