Is UK Ebay dead?
 

It seems like you are now unable to create ebay.co.uk accounts, private or business, without setting up managed payments.

Can anyone confirm?

I found managed payment much more easier then ebay +PayPal in past, the good thing is you can change the detail on ebay and ebay not even bother to ask why account name address bank detail change to different person/company

Hi, I am new in MP. so I have a few questions. if you know kindly reply, please. I am running 7 stealth account so if I change all of the stealth details to my real details will it create a problem? can I add the same bank account number & sort code with more than 2-3 accounts?

If your goal is to link your accounts together then sure otherwise no you would need a separate bank account per eBay account.

I don't think this is correct for individual accounts, I made one last night but the problem I had was trying to make the UK Paypal!! on the sign up page it asks personal or business but either choice was not clickable for some weird reason so was unable to make an account.

It looked like PP have changed their sign up page which was unusable with my new installation of portable firefox. I hadn't turned off anything within the browser.
Anyone else found this lately?

Paypal has been very 'glitchy' for the last 48 hours. I use it for FB sales and it keeps dropping when trying to make invoices. Also phone confirmation every few minutes

I tried to make a non managed payment account. Tried calling first ebay on the phone with a new sim to say you rather open a normal one due to some bad information with the new one and they said sorry but it is the only way now. My stealths are gone but luckily get up new with my main details and it works.

ebay will know regardless if they decide to view history of changes. Also on ebay you can go to request data option and it shows you every bit of information they have saved for you. Takes a few days to process buy good to check. Every IP logon, etc al saved.

@RogerDodger Yes i had the same problem when i tried creating a new PayPal account today. it wouldn't let me click "Create Personal Account". I was using a new phone so i just downloaded the app instead and it worked fine on there.

@StealthHarry + @RedPill - I made two new Personal eBay accounts today and both of them were forced into Managed Payments. Its not looking good

Yes it’s not looking good at all

I have spoken to the “upper brass” (as I would like to say) of Aspkin & there is apparently a workaround to it

But this definitely looks like the end of Stealth with PayPal, by the end of the year it will be history

Fingers crossed I can just get a last year with eBay + PayPal and move on to something else as the managed payments is unsuited for me

Yes there are certainly some workarounds for Ebay UK, ebay uk with pp not quite dead yet

yes true it is possible to get around & still use PayPal.. Not sure for how long.
