Trading On A Personal Account For Business With Managed Payments. Do eBay Care?
 

I'm asking this here as this forum knows more about eBay policy and how it is implemented than probably anyone apart from eBay themselves.

I have an eBay business account but never use it as all the promos eBay give to personal sellers make it so much cheaper to trade as a private individual plus I can decline refunds for certain reasons.

I think it is fair to say that until now eBay did not case if someone was clearly trading from a personal account as I have seen personal accounts with over 10,000 listing.

To register for managed payments I need to upload a bank statement and this has my name on it but it also clearly shows that it is the bank account of a LTD company. Is this likely to be a problem?

If ebay bots do their job properly then yes, it will be a problem as the account does not belong to you, the private seller.

One think MP will do is encourage sellers to get their house in order if they value their accounts. Maybe its time to set it up correctly.

The name on the bill goes my name then under it is the LTD company name. eBay should care but I'm not convinced they will which is why I'm asking the question.

Give it a lad, worst case you loose the account. However nobody will tell you the truth, I'm shocked people still use this forum. STEALTH IS DEAD
