MP question - adding bank account with different name
 

For the past year I’ve been using a friend’s eBay and PP account to sell stuff. She’s had them for 12+ years (not stealth, all her real details), so great selling limits, no PP holds etc. For now she’s not using them so basically handed them to me. I download my earnings from her PP to her bank and she transfers them to me.

Then along came MP. I can hardly ask her to add her bank and get dozens of payments a week going in there, so I was going to add my bank details.

1. Would this work? Is there any way eBay could see that the name on the bank account was not the same as her name?

2. I’ve always understood that a principle of Stealth was that (most) banks accept payments from mismatched names, so there shouldn’t be an issue with eBay paying into my account?

Sorry for the long message. I’m just worried by reports that eBay are checking ID and generally being stricter and I don’t want to inadvertently jeopardise such a useful mature account – particularly when it’s not even mine!

You can add bank acc with different name but your account will banned if there will be charged back on your account for refund etc...

From my understanding you have options of when you get paid out (daily, weekly, etc). If you choose daily you'll run the risk of going into a negative balance and eBay dipping into your account (and subsequently knowing the name of the bank account) if there is a chargeback.

If you choose weekly, as I'll be doing, you slash the odds of getting caught out.

I think MP would debit your MP account ,charging your cc would be the last resort

what kind of friend would allow another person to use her paypal and ebay account for long period,
you should really set up your own bank account
