OSS VAT / Can I use VAT number from Partnership if registered as sole trader on ebay
 

Hi,

We sell as partnership business on ebay but only 1 name is listed as business owner on ebay. When we signed up to managed payments we only provided one name (why to burn down 2 names if something happens?).

However now we are asked to sign up for a VAT number (OSS registration VAT number). Can we register VAT on partnership and provide the VAT number to the account which is only registered in 1 name? Will ebay mind that the VAT number is actually registered on 2 names?

We could say person registered on ebay has a diffrent business with this person next to ebay, no? Do you know will they block the account when they find out?
