Never had an issue making payments on a stealth acct with a credit card - as long as it can pass the AVS. | Thanks for the help.
I guess that would be a simple matter of opening your online banking app and temporarily changing the address to the address on the stealth account, then adding the card, then changing the address back to your real address?
I know this definitely works with transferwise (i.e. create a virtual card, change the address in transferwise to whatever you need it to be, verify the paypal with the virtual card). The only problem is transferwise virtual cards can't be used as a funding source, they're only ok for withdrawals IIRC!
BTW, I've been doing a bit of reading around, and some people are claiming the method I'm using (adding a current account, accepting the direct debit mandate, then using that to fund my paypal account) is risky as it shows paypal my real name? If so, is that entire account now compromised and I should be withdrawing without delay? No issues yet, but..
