Eating £500 loss on ebay because Italy post failed me
 

Customer from Italy says item not received

Sent £500 item well packaged tracked and signed with royal mail

Tracked upto Italy but then doesn't track on their website. Parcels vanished

Google search brings up a multitude of problems with Italy's postal network and of missing parcels.

What can I do ? I will obviously lose the eBay case.

you need to raise it with royal mail, did you buy postage with protection?

such shipments should not be done with royal mail but it's parcelforce division or UPS

royal mail can not be tracked properly in most countries and no significant compensation is likely from them

Italy have by far most thefts, I remember selling to them and half of items would go missing.

Our postal service has improved significantly in the last few years but there but efficiency is far from other countries I agree

@OP can't you follow delivery on Royal Mail tracking service?

Need to contact RM and they will have to try to find it failing that you may get compensation if you had insurance

Italy is the only country that I won't ship to - I would say 75% of what I used to send had problems. Even the stuff that showed as delivered, the buyers always swore blind they had not received.

The quickest way to get an answer is to contact whichever partner Royal Mail uses in Italy - I have found if you contact Royal Mail they take weeks an weeks to "investigate".

Contacted RM they said to put in a claim as it's lost by now.

Emailed post italiane they haven't even responded.

Basically it's a lost cause.

The icing on the cake is I have another expensive order sent with UPS that's gone to Belfast from London when it's meant to be delivered to Hull up north. Customers been waiting 3 days for delivery I have now put in a return to sender request as he's so frustrated he wants to cancel his order.

When it goes bad it's one after another.

Amen to that. On the grand scale of things got to do whatever it takes to keep my accounts.

POST offices do talk t o each other,I know USPS does.
may be ask your post office to track it,I am in US.
