How to calculate defect?
 
3.05% defect resulting from 9 items in 296 sales.

Provided there is no further defect, how much more items would I need to sell to bring the defect to 3%?

4 more good sales will get you to exactly 3%


9/296 = .030405 (~3.05%)
9/300 = .03 (3%)

Is eBay really that accurate though that 4 good sales really would do it?
