No cookies or email for new ebay uk stealth account
 

Hi all

5 days ago received my account information from an approved seller on here but he didn't include cookies and the email account he gave doesn't exist.

Unfortunately the seller has this annoying habit of often disappearing for days / weeks / months at a time. All communication whilst he is disappeared is completely ignored. He is a ghost during this time.

Is it ok or me to login to this new ebay account for the first time without any cookies and without access to / information on what email address he used to setup the account. Or should I wait days / weeks longer and hope he replies at some point.

I've just had ebay take the micro deposits from my account so they are expecting me to login and confirm them. I don't want to keep them waiting too long as I think there is a 7 day time limit to confirm the deposits.

I will also have to change the email address on the account to a valid one if the seller doesn't answer me and give me the valid email address. I know changing it may be a red flag for ebay but what choice do I have?

No cookies is always risky… but you might need that email because with no cookies on a new device eBay may have to send you a code to email or number on file to login

Logging in without the cookies can be hit or miss - I've done it on different computers without issue and occasionally need to confirm via text or e-mail....don't change info right away

Who is the seller? we have a right to know as many of us are buyers on the marketplace and this feedback is important.

Please post the members name and perhaps an admin can ping them, several days/weeks with no response is absolute unacceptable when purchasing an account, all details should be supplied within 24-48 hours of payment.

aspkin needs to put some sort of safeguard, escrow service, or security rules and feedback/rating system that has meaningful impact to a users account and selling status as I see these types of issues of people reporting not receiving their accounts after payment all too often here!
