Linking real debit card to stealth paypal
 

Hi There.

I have a stealth paypal account with very similar details to my real details. Can I link my real debit card to the account, or will the difference in my name and address cause problems (as it is not exactly the same as my real details).

My stealth details are:
Name: Mr Whippy
Address: 26b xxx street

My real details are:
Mr Whippy
Address: 26 xxx street

Will my debit card (which matches my real details) be fine to link?

Yes, PayPal cannot see the name

Qualify that,boon. paypal will not see the name in most cases. Depends on the bank.

I didn't know that. Do you know which banks can/cannot see the name?

LLoyds did the dirty earlier in the year in the UK. With me, the account is STEALTH, so if I use REAL then there maybe a link & the account could get lost.

Because my REAL address linked to my debit card is 26 xxx street, and my paypal address is 26b xxx street.

Will that cause any problem that the address is slightly different than the billing address of my debit card? Do payapl not use the AVS system? If they do, will it still verify as it is only a very small change from 26 xxx street to 26b xxx street (xxx is the same street name in both cases).

you can add your real debit card to paypal if you really need to, but the beauty of prepaid is you control how much gets spent, plus you can supply a screenshot of card number and name for a stealth limitation, actually the danger of them finding out your real name is not very likely but why risk it if there are alternatives, even a 3v voucher is an option if you dont want a barclays giftcard or entropay for example..

^^^oompappa is correct. The idea of the forum is to show users to be stealth: using 'real' info is never recommended.

If it comes down to checking by a human (OK, but you know what I mean) the appearance of real info matching suspended info will be trouble & suspension of the account. Not recommended :peace:
