is it safe to have VAT owner different with the account owner on profile?
 

i have 2 questions, wish some of you can give some ideas

1. use a non UK ebay account to sell on ebay and put a VAT on file which is different with the user.

2. use one of my friend information to start up company and ebay account everything and then transfer the company to me after 3-6 months ebay operation.
is it safe to do so?

VAT number must match personal details on ebay so whatever VAT number you want to use you will have to use personal details as well belonging to that number

if the company is a limited company you can transfer , it is likely to lead to a new verification later. I don't think ebay would check whether company owner changed but adyen certainly would at some point

and make no mistake , do not try to run a UK limited company on ebay without at least one UK resident as director

I am just under this situation even i have a contact person in UK, the account still restricted after 1st item is listed.

if i update the information in company house and try again, can i pass the restiction? or all the information has wasted?

if they want ID details you need to send details of a UK resident

so the ID of director, instead of the contact person?

they will be checking the companies house and I doubt they would accept a random person as contact person if that person is not visible in any official documents

i see, you are right.
my address is suspended, i need to prepare another address proof.
may i ask if they accept bank statement as address proof?

Personally i did not had any luck with bank statements. Adress there can be updated easy and probably they know about it.

that depends on whether bank statement is asked for as proof of address or after account was restricted on MP

if it is just proof of address without restriction it should not be a problem. with MP restrictions it is unlikely bank statement would work , be it stealth or genuine
