Royal mail tracking down for 72 hours
 

Has anyone got any insight into what is going on at royal mail? Their online tracking has been down for 3 days now. I can't find any announcement or statement from royal mail explaining themselves and i can't for the life of me understand how the national postal service don't have the webdevs to have it back up and running in minutes if not hours. But not 3+ days.

Last bit of news i can find was after it had been down 24 hours. nothing since. Anyone got more info?

Last week there online click n drop was down. Then it was hacked. The strikes. Is royal mail destined to implode? What a poor service they've become. Lots of mail "lost" due to strikes and no doubt many retailers/sellers have switch away from them.

there site is back up but keeps refreshing recaptcha endlessly

anyone struggling with this. www.parcelsapp.com does a better job of tracking royal mail than royal mail does.

It depends on what postal service is being used, if it 1st class no tracking you will not see the tracking until the package is delivered which is about 72 hours.

Royal Mail have been useless for many many months now, especially in my local area. Cost me a lot of money :(

I haven't noticed any problems? It's been working for me via eBay.

It currently tracks. A lot of tracking barring Special Delivery only actually updates status after it's delivered so can take a few days. Not sure if that's what you're seeing.

Prior to ecommerce,there is no such thing as tracking ,now we place more burden on the mail carriers,bitching and moaning when they raise prices,call it price gourging !
BTW,USPS are looking for way to cut cost,some districts may not see mail delivery 6 days /week,it may even raise prices.
