Halifax Current Account

Sorry if this has been asked before...

Are Halifax current accounts OK to use for ebay direct debits when creating new accounts, slight name mismatch, surname is same, christian name is different.

I used a Halifax saver for one account, and ebay wanted card details, so I want to avoid having to put a card details in if that is possible.
