shared/joint bank accounts
 

Hi all,
So I have been selling on eBay for 2 years under my friends address and bank account (we created one just for eBay using his details) I am now worried about HMRC getting in touch as a fair bit of money has been coming through. Can I be added to his bank account without anything flagging up on eBay? That way I can start paying TAX. Appreciate any info related :)

I dont think Ebay knows or care to know,makes no difference to Ebay as you are never a seller?

The only time it cares if govt agency is looking into the seller and traces to his bank account which receives the sales proceed
Or someone is examining his bank account and wants to know where the deposit comes from.

I dont want to call any person stupid or naive or greedy,who would allow anyone to use his SSN,bank account,name and address to engage in activities which that person cannot do so with his own ID.
I have seen husband or wife using his or her spouse ID and then there is divorce.
I have seen step daughter trying to intercept stepmother shipments due to estate squabble.
Grandpa shares a safety deposit box with grandson who is a drug addict,stole 60 Krugerrand gold coins from grandpa!

Did this happen in the same family? Quite extreme examples.

you call these extreme?
It happens every day in every corner of the world-siblings squabble over inheritance,husband and wife fight over a couch,a painting,some worthwhile collectibles,grandpa wakes up one day and find someone has been using his SSN.
Remember Johnny Carson and his many exwives,one of them fought him over some gold coins,one always asked the jeweler to call Johnny after selecting which jewelry she wants as a gift,so there is proof it is hers,gifts are not common property.
Husband or wife cleans out the bank accounts at the first sign of divorce ,wife loaded up garbage using joint credit cards -gold jewelry! or anything she fancies.
BTW,back then Paypal is one way to hide $$ from your wife in a divorce
