ebay no returns excepted
 

im guessing its a load of bull and buyers will return an item and ebay ignore the no returns policy.

The only time they can return an item if there are no returns indicated, is item as not as described. Most use that to get around no returns and eBay say its the cost of doing business/

and seller has to provide a return shipping label which will be charged to his seller account when used.

I sold a video card for £550 the buyer used it for 2 weeks and blew it up I sold it with no return as it's secondhand and therefore I can't return it to anyone myself
He sent it back and eBay credited him the money back so I lost £550 and still got £97 in fees so I've lost around £650 on that one sale it's a lot to me as I'm not rich and it's has put me off selling on eBay and I'm looking for a different platforms to sell
Now
I think eBay will keep me broke if this keeps happening and it's a crappy platform for sellers and a good platform for buyers

I think EBAY would refund your 97 fee.
Paypal if I recall will keep the fee,as most buyers pay with credit card,and it has paid the cc fee which is not refundable.

You did not lose 550,since you get your video card back,as if you have never sold the card.
Unfortunately your card is no longer saleable,so you lose whatever you paid for the card.
You also lose money on shipping.
You will find buyers who strip part or component from a device and then return it claiming it does not work,there was a time they will borrow your designer handbag,even wedding gown and returned it afterward.
A mother ordered 2 special armours for her kids in school,afterwards returned them all beat up,the artist is very upset as it cost him $3k and lots of efforts ,Ebay just refunded the buyer,case closed.
But then there are sellers -one sold a picture of a RALPH Loren cashmere coat,buyer paid for a coat,not a picture of a coat,when she received the picture,she filed INAD,
EBay rep compared it with the listing ,and closed her case as it is as described,until the buyer raised hell ,she got her money back.
One bar owner ordered 6 bar stools,they dont fit,so he printed out one USPS shipping label and made 6 copies of that label and slapped on 6 stools.
USPS aint fool and returned 5 stools back to the buyer,but as far as Ebay goes,tracking shows delivered and refunded the buyer in full!
One seller sold a piece of equipment to a buyer in France,buyer asked him to under state the value on customs form,he refused.
So buyer ended up paying large sum (customs duty),so he decided to return a box of rocks back to the seller,now they are even,he gets his machine at a lesser price.
It is hard for Ebay to decide who is telling the truth,it will ask the seller to file a report with the post office ,FBI and then come back and give Ebay the case number and Ebay will refund you out of its pocket,I dont know if this is true??

I think you should sell less expensive items,see ,people who buy on EBay,many are BOTTOM FEEDERS,people who have money do not shop on Ebay for expensive items,they go to a real store and buy brand new items.

well, poster said that the buyer ruined the card so can't be resold...so while 550 wasn't 'lost', there is no sale to be made now

it was a painful sale i dont no if the buyer changed the part on me and sent it back and i stated no returns but ebay ignored my request i dont have any look on ebay i always seem to lose the money i make it hurts

ebay make 10 billion a year and i think ebay sellers are bottom feeders :violin:

I paid £900 for the card 18 months ago so I lost £900
