Stealth Risks?

I have a legitimate & very successfull ebay store which earns me a good income.

I want to play with a stealth account to shift some lower quality stock which needs to be in the same categories as my legitimate store.

Question is, if I muck it up & the stealth account gets linked to my current store, is that store at any risk???

I intend to use all legitimate details to create the account & use a blank laptop on a 5g connection. The only detail I can't mask is the address for the bank account I'll be creating. Will ebay be able to link the accounts from a bank accounts address???

Re: Stealth Risks?

Preferably you can use online banking such as payoneer( if your store is from a country that Payoneer is allowed. If not you can use the bank as well .

Using of the same bank address doesn't lead to store suspension. But the best is to have nothing similar to use with your account that doing fine.

I am available in case you have more questions.

The address to the bank account in the UK is not accessible to eBay nor is the name on the account.

Yes it is, that's the whole point of the sort code.

That said, I have never seen it proven that they have suspended accounts based on sort codes although it has been suggested on this forum it happens.

Im going to strongly disagree because if its based on sort codes, then everybody that uses METRO BANK will have their ebay accounts banned because every Metro Bank Account uses the same sort code:nono:

That is right if you have a high street HSBC account in the UK then if they block the sorting code then thousands of potential eBay buyers and sellers will be blocked for no reason.

sort codes of major banks are rarely blocked , it is almost always EMI and currency exchange companies whose sort codes are targeted

if I were you I'd just make the account normally without stealth.

So you have your main account then 2nd account to sell different grade items.

If anything it makes it look good.

I did not mean the bank address, to make it simple for you, I was referring to the address of the account holder.

No problem, all your posts are simple, and I offer my apologies for any confusion I may have caused if I misunderstood the post.

I already do. I have the business / shop + a business buyer accounts, then I have a personal account.

I want to sell similar items into the same categories at a lower price point. If I have 2x accounts selling into the same categories then eBay restricts the visibility on one or both accounts.

I see where you're coming from but looking it it from ebays new angle, visibility is no longer restricted, it is now promoted by paying for it. :)

I like to keep my posts simple for the easily confused.

Indeed you do, all you need to work on now is getting them factually correct and you'll be a forum sage in no time.

Another little bullying quip again that really has no forum value Hank and certainly does not make you into a sage.

How does that work? You have a poke at me for 'being simple' and call me fun names on another thread and even when I apologise for my misunderstanding and retort with like-minded quip I'm now a 'bully'. To use that word you must think there's some kind of misuse of power or personal harm. Surely not.

Correcting mistakes and having a different opinion is not bullying. Grow a pair, we're all anonymous here, nobody is at risk of getting hurt. If you do feel vulnerable you have the option of ignoring my replies.
