ebay account deleted with no warning?
 

I can't log into my account anymore it say "We ran into a problem" and the account doesn't exist anymore, when i click on the username it says "Sorry, this user was not found."
I have not received any emails of being suspended or anything, I have sold items and I have to post.
Need to confirm that I have been on holiday abroad and i have logged in few times from a secure connection. Don't think the account has been hacked as I didn't receive any email and the account doesn't exist anymore.
I have called eBay and they said that they will connect me to another department, and then they hung up after few seconds. What could I do?
Anyone had this before?

update: i have changed email few months ago. it seems that they have sent all details to that email which i no longer have access to it. Is there anything i can do anymore?

this means the account details were set back to old details by the system

you need to have access to email or mobile that were on file back then

Have you tried clearing the cookies before logging on?

if that email addr used on Ebay is deleted long ago,nothing you can do,start a new account

they won't help me, we all know how bad is ebay costumer services. the only trouble is that we have orders of £800 and we won't be able to send the parcels as we don't know the address, also i need the report on the account so I would know the split, as I'm not the only owner...

on ebay it is necessary to have mobile and email on file that are valid , changing both without keeping the old ones is very dangerous because the system may set the account back anytime

I once had an account set back to details that were on file over 4 years ago when the account was opened

one very effective way to prevent this from happening would be to never change email , mobile can be exchanged but email should always be maintained , no change of email since account opening = zero risk of setback

how do you not have access to it? can you re-create or get access back?

this is a poorely programmed algorithm that sets the account details back to the details of account opening , this has high chances to be a death knell since old email addresses and mobiles may not be available anymore

in theory it should be set back to details that were on file before the most recent changes but ebay don't care they would just ask to access an email address that used to be on file years ago , they even change the user name back to the original name during account opening which is long forgotten and may have been changed a number of times ever since

that is why anyone selling on ebay should always remember to never change the email address as this problem may hit them anytime , even years later. alternatively , if they need to change the email address they need to make sure the old email address is kept active as long as the ebay account is kept active
