Payment holds
 

Hi all

Wanted to get an opinion from experienced Ebayers.

A few weeks ago, I sold two items for about £150 on a few months old account. Unfortunately, both buyers have opened up claims, and Ebay have told me they will hold the money from upcoming payments

Do these kind of claims early on in an account trigger payment holds?

I have to sell a couple of items for around the £500 mark, and I'm hoping that the funds will be available in the next day or two afterwards as usual.

What do you think?

yes,a relatively new account with 2 claims,would do it

If you have not had notification of a 5 day hold on payouts, you should get paid when you cover the amount of the claims. If it’s for item not received and you have resent it or it’s received the hold will go, if it’s for returns then the money is held until they pay it back to the buyer when tracking shows received by you, or if it’s not returned in 21 days then you get the money released.

I would advise to sell cheap items on new account and build up the history.
