Default Payment Hold. Payment method required.

Hi Everyone,

Im pretty new to this, but some advice would be great if possible.
I have had my stealth account for around 3 months now, everything has gone fine and I have been selling and building my limits quite nicely.
Today i had a email stating that any further payouts are on hold, and they need a payment method added.
I tried the debit card that came with the bank account i am using, but that was refused as the billing address was wrong.(I filled out my stealth address details)

I'm a bit perplexed on what to do now?
Any advice on what i can do to overcome this?

Thanks

You can put the bank account as the payment method and not the debit card, you can use the stealth name on it and the account number and sort code and they will accept it.

Yes, did that, but its still showing as payments held, and to add a card.
Is there a time limit to wait and it will disapear?

It will not disappear, it may be OK to put the correct debit card address in, if it’s info for MP then they do not associate the address to the account.

After 9 years I too have been asked for a payment method for fees, etc. Up until now I've been paying my fees using the profits from the account.

Am I able to use ANY debit card?

Ebay prefers a credit card, not debit card or bank account,as you may not have enough fund in your bank account but enough line of credit with your credit card for Ebay to charge to its heart content !
Also if Ebay keeps trying to debit your bank account, and there is not enough fund,it could make you look bad with your bank !

So I could use a credit card no problem, without being linked?

My account is stealth, so the question I should have asked is ... does using my own personal credit or debit card reveal my real name, hence jeopardising the account?

You can use your personal credit card entering under the stealth name - many times, as long as address matches up, the charge will pass and your true name will NOT be revealed.

I do this for all of my stealth accounts

I think the problem I'm going to have is that my account is actual stealth, made up person, made up DoB, random address, etc.

No details will match what eBay have.

It shouldn't matter, as long as they're able to charge the card.

The key for the credit card to go through is the address...so you need the address of eb to match the address of the card...or vice-versa...

They can only verify the numeric data of your address, your name is not on the data base which Ebay accesses to verify your card.

I cannot use my own personal credit or debit card then as my ebay accounts are stealth.

Does anyone know what type of VCC's are accepted, or even a trusted seller who can do the?

Would changing my actual address on my banking app to my stealth address work?

Check marketplace - there are some approved sellers there.

If it allows you - I have done it for one of my bank-based cc's as a test about 7-8 years ago
