Is it better to use Tide or Wise for a UK business account?
 

I have registered UK company and have registered Wise business account. Checked the forums, not sure using Wise or Tide.:pry:

tide is better if it is still allowed , I don't think though ebay will allow you to sell if you are a non-resident

yeh, I am non-resident. can not get a ordinary bank account

ebay will not allow you to sell if contact person is not a resident , this may work on amazon but ebay want to see residents only and they do credit checks on every contact person and check companies house details to make sure they are shown as director or owner there

Since foreigners can legally register companies, they should also be able to carry out business activities in the UK. So I want to try ebay. I know that after selling a certain amount, the account will be required to submit passport and company information.

you can try but in this case you should state uk address as contact on ebay , if you write a foreign address there your account will be suspended

That is a must; address, phone number, bank all UK.

I do not mean company address but director details and they need to match companies house info

Can any one help

I have ebay business account registered and verified MP on company name in UK. I lost the bank account as it was on revolt and revolt closed it. Now what is the best way to add a new account ?

New account is on high street netwest bank business account having the same address as ebay registered address and the company address all same.

But name on bank account is different not matched with registered person name on ebay? Do you think it will work as address matched ? or it is must that the name and DOB also should match ?

2ndly the name on new bank account is mine orignal name but I was banned on ebay 3 to 4 times before MP.


will it be safe if I change my original name on ebay or it is not wise ?

any help will be apricated

ebay will accept new bank account but if your bank accepts payments made to a company on personal account that you need to test

The bank details do not have to match so you can put a different name against the account on eBay as they can not check it, I know nat west will accept payments from eBay from a different name selling account to that which is on the bank account.

this is a company account though , all payments would go to a limited company , not a personal name , this may become a problem for a bank indeed

I still have company registered and I am director of that company in net west I have opened a new bank account. on company name. So it is as bellow

on ebay
Company Name: ABC LTD UK, Registered person XYZ. and XYZ is active director on company house, and myself also director

on Bank.

in Netwest Company Account ABC LTD UK. but name on this account is mine not the person who is registered in ebay.


So I believe I am safe if I will add this account because company name will be matched on ebay and bank so all payments will go through and my name on bank as company owner and account holder will not effect ?

Also my address on company ebay and bank all same and real address matched with Credit check

Nearly all of those on the link you gave were trying to use it as a money transfer service. For business banking there are very few issues, I've used them without any problems whatsoever for many years now.

If you look, the OP is in China and will be doing plenty of money transferring to China from the UK, so my link was placed there to illustrate that they have loads of complaints on foreign transfers.

Fair enough but as a banking service it will work just fine. If we're going to be pedantic they can convert it to Yen and simply transfer it to their own attached bank account, maybe even simply spend it straight out of their Wise account, it does offer pretty comprehensive banking services after all with physical and virtual cards, direct debits etc which is not quite the same as currency conversions and transfers between unconnected accounts which I'll wager is what most of the complains on your link are for. Folk just don't seem to realise they're not running a Western Union style operation.

At present, have tried to transfer money from wise to my Sunrate and Airwallex accounts, and it is very fast and convenient.

Use Wise for payment. Sold about 700 pounds, probably due to the fact that I listed an infringing product, resulting in MC999. DEAD！

Wise business account to receive payments from eBay is OK. Transfer the money back to CN through a foreign exchange settlement company.

I think I wrote to you before that all such accounts will be suspended unless the documents show the company is owned and run by residents

The account has not submitted any documentation yet. So it's impossible to determine whether 'residents' are necessary

Payoneer works with eBay payments for Latin America and some European countries.

Wise is one of my go to banks. No issues so far.
