Confirming a entropay credit card ?
 

I've Just tried to buy something with my entropay credit card. But paypal won't allow me to do so. I've confirmed everything accept the card it self. is this normal? I mean do I have to confirm the credit card to use it? And is this the case if I was to use a debit card ?

No you don't need to confirm it unless you have exceeded your initial sending limits.

Not had any problems buying with entropay cards on my buying accounts yesterday or today.

I've Just down a test..

I'm tring to buy some of at £245 ...Now the only option it allows me to fund is my bank account. Which is confirmed. But it won't allow me to use my entropay credit card. But check this out ...If i try buy something else on ebay for about £80 it lets me use the entropay credit card. Is it a case where if it's over a certin amount it won't let you use it untill it's confirmed ?

Strange.... I buy bulk lots and spend anything up to £500...

I only added a bank account to lift sending limits and even then I am unable to do instant bank transfers unless I confirm the card (which i don't do because I don't want to send funds from my bank).

Maybe a recent move on Paypals part to limit chargebacks by restricting credit card use on high value purchases but I can't see it to be honest.

I guess you could confirm the card and find out.

Yep I've just done that....do you know how long it will take to appear on the statement?

It always amazes me how people have such widely differing experiences with the workings of their PayPal accounts.

How long is the credit available for on the entorpay card? I have just taken out my first virtual card and it expires in 1 year exactly.

Do you lose the credit at the point or can you start a new card, transfer the money from the old card then cancel the old card?

for some reason mine takes alot longer like 4-5 days to show up on the entropay statement

I've just Received this answer from ebay concerning why I can't Buy anything over a cretin amount on ebay using my paypal account.

This internal security system is the same computer program that is used by
banks and credit card companies to determine if a money transfer request

does not look at you, your card, or your bank. It also does not consider
the funds or credit that you have for funding your payment. It looks at
the transaction in a pure statistical basis and determines possible errors.
At times, if the payment you are trying to complete does not fit the
pattern of transactions observed in the past, the security system quickly
reviews it. It may stop it temporarily or give you the option to pay via
eCheque or bank funding if you confirm your bank account to enable it for
billing. Please note that eCheque takes 7 to 9 working days to clear.

And since there are thousands of transactions happening in the PayPal
system in a per minute basis, it is virtually impossible to turn it off.
Please accept my apologies but we are unable to override this security
system and it would be necessary for you to use another funding option.
Please be informed, however, that this is not permanent. During this case,
it is advisable to try sending your payment at a later time.

most new accounts have this problem

for some reason entropay is not working anymore
for paypal verifcation

i have had two different £1 paypal verifcations sent back to my 2 vcc's

the pound was taken out last week out of both vcc's
and was returned back by paypal
it didn't even show the transaction on the statements

i had to email entropay to find this out

I don't usually bother with the card verfication but I have done 2 accounts this month as I want to be able to do instant bank transfers.

Both done with entropay... one showed up on my statement on the 4th Dec the other on the 13th. No problems so far.

mine is fine.

make sure you have at least £3 loaded and wait a couple of days...change address under account settings too

you can use 3v voucher if you like too

I've had no problems. Try it a week ago ....

i had £10 on each card

which i usually bank transfer the rest back to my account

it's very strange because i have entropay have never let me down

can any boday tell me will I get 2 small verification transaction of my VCC card even if I don't add any bank with paypal and once vcc statement get small values can I later add a bank account ? will paypal send me 2 small values again on my bank or not?

As once it verified with VCC I want to use saving account and don't want to set any DD or small verification on bank.

I think you are confused.

You can't verify a UK account with A VCC.

You need to do bank verification. After that you can link and confirm the card but not before.

Savings accounts are useless on PayPal.

Are you going to be a serious seller, staying under ebay radar or muck about with accounts? If you are serious then you will get answers that will help you.
