Duplicate accounts
 

Hi

I have some eBay accounts from the old days, but I can't log into them as I don't have the phone numbers anymore and I didn't confirm the emails.

I think I read somewhere that it's possible to create duplicate accounts, if I create a fresh account with exactly the same details, is it likely to pass?

yes you can use same details but ebay suspend most new accounts so that details do not matter , no one is going to check them

Old age as in over 5 years ago? even 10 years?

Make your new account OR contact them and ask for help in retreiving the account. It's always worth to try to regain access to an old UNsuspended account

there is no ban wave , they just mass suspend accounts , sometimes more , sometimes less

There is and there always has been.

It's not sporadic like you say.

Usually lasts from autumn and spring.

It starts to get much easier at this time of year

it started 2019 and never ended , it may be less active at certain times

although now it seems to be tougher than last year and all years before

Different bots roam the sites all year round,they are getting better .

it is not all that hard to "get better" using mass suspensions

I can confirm that works fine, got 3 accounts on same name.
You can make new accounts on the same name even if you own money to eBay.

on brand new accounts names do not play any role , ebay do not do any MP verification there and once they do they will certainly allow at least one attempt to correct the data

No, creating a new account with the same details as an old account you can't access is very unlikely to work. eBay will likely flag the new account as a duplicate or related to the old, inaccessible one. It might even get suspended.
