Buyer claiming item not as described chargeback

Buyer ordered a sat nav and claimed I sent a different model. I asked for photos of the menu showing what was supposedly missing from it. Instead they sent a photo of the box (which was not the sat nav sent - I don't stock the lower model so I knew there was no way it was accidently sent) Explained this and sent them a QR code to take it to the post office, they then said they were housebound and can't (truck sat nav housebound, comedy gold). Few days later(today) they open a return, I again send the QR code in the return case. Now they have went to through their bank so return case is closed a a dispute through the bank is happening. They're asking for evidence "proof of condition" before sending and proof I've tried to resolve it.

So i can send photos of the correct sat nav with their address label + screenshots from royal mail + ebay regarding the return QR code being issued. How else can i prevent this scammer succeeding?

I am aware of how this scammer was trying to scam me prior to getting the bank involve but won't disclose to make it public knowledge and make the problem worse.

Tips and advice before i go submit from the case from side?

Re: Buyer claiming item not as described chargeback

So your buyer filed a chargeback with the bank which issues his credit card,it depends on the bank clerk who reviews the case.
If he knows what he is doing,he would ask your buyer to return the item, then close the case by issuing him a full refund.
Your buyer cannot use the excuse of being housebound,he has to find a way to go to the post office.

This has happened in some of my accounts, and usually eBay always decides in your favor and not in favor of the bank's claims

really for you? feels like these days eb has been lazy when challenged by bank and chargebacks and will punish the seller more than buyer unless a ton of proof is provided as well as legal counterclaim on top

There is also a $20 fee if you lose

Once the buyer goes to the bank and file a chargeback,Ebay will wash its hand and tell the seller as far as Ebay goes,it is over.

Just an update guys, i submitted photos on the parcel/item in packaging stage with buyer address label showing the item was correct and not the one the buyer claimed to have recieved. Screen shot of the purchased postage from royal mail website. Screenshot of the chat between myself and buyer sending the postage QR code. Also suggested the bank check the buyers history to ensure it wasn't facilitating fraud (i know this is a touchy and expensive subject for banks) may have prompted them on the side of caution

I won the case on Monday after submitting it Saturday. I haven't heard a peep from the buyer since and no sign of them attempting to return it either on the tracking since. :pound::pound:
