Iv suddenly started getting account restrictions on new accounts. Anyone else started getting this?

Buying and selling restrictions. It says to call them to get it lifted but my experience with that is you get banned soon after anyway so no point bothering l. It's just odd as I haven't had anything for a while and the last 2 weeks it's been almost every account

It's been happening again in the last few days.
I just want you to know that this happens from time to time and we just have to find new ways to get out of it.
If you are new to this you will achieve it..

Are you checking the IP address is new? UK Fibre broadband results in 'sticky' IP addresses so turning it off/on for 20 minutes can and is still retaining the same IP address

Sounds like reactivate. This is nuts, from the looks of it. Seems like a lot of countries are still experiencing this. Haven't had one account up since last month.

I don't think it really matters at this point - those of us who have jumped through all the hoops to get on the platform have sole 0 in sever days. The economy is shot, so I don't see the need to try anymore.

Yes but as mentioned in other chats the accounts even after being reinstated are on borrowed time and end up being suspended... not sure what is going on but I am unable to open any account either by phone app or laptop

Don't give up on them, most likely it's just them wanting to talk to you and know you then they reactivate.

They have been doing this for years.

People insisting that they will reinstate the account isn't going to happen.

Maybe back in 2020, but not now.

eBay has been a cluster fuk of problems and is already making sellers leave as is.

eBay has had a bunch of morons handling the dev side of eBay and they screwed up so much of the site already.

Yes, now.... you can still get the account reinstated if it's just a normal reactivated suspension.

bs, this is not about ip, ip is a limited resource, they always in use everyday by many people!

From my experience I can add this to the discussion.

When using non mobile ip, like broadband it is definately a factor.

When using mobile ip it might be a factor but a small one that would have to be backed up by other factors. Mobile ip is recycled too often and most if not all are behind cgnat which will see same IP addresses shared between many devices

if it is a major local mobile provider with millions of customers then the IP is completely meaningless , ebay could not afford blocking such people

it is the same as with banks , there are banks that are untouchable , for example HSBC , if they have millions of customers they can not be blocked

I still change Ip on mobile anyway just out of habit and to stay sharp but I know it doesn't really matter

Rule of stealth is never knowingly share anything. Absolutely nothing. That includes IP source for each account.



Static I.P.'s are rare and expensive so most go for a standard dynamic IP. Buy your IP's from different sources or play the switch off/on game if you have multiple accounts - I go for the former.



In the unlikely event the one allocated to you at any given point of time has used before for a banned account and the sales platform recognize this and then there's nothing you can do about it. That said, as others have mentioned they wont use IP as the sole reason to ban IMO, just as a possible trigger to dig deeper.

Use Residential Rotating Proxies. We buy them. Working fine on new account creations last few days. There are plenty of tools to check they are as clean as possible. Will update back in a month on how we get have been getting on.

Just want to add to this. I'm using the mobile app and started creating accounts a few months ago. Had no problems as long as I went into my phone's ebay app and cleared cache and I could change accounts that way on a whim.

Then today I created 6 different accounts and 5 of them got suspended. 1 acct passed everything it seems. But the others were a mix of permanent suspension and reactivate your account.

Any idea whats going on? Maybe I've just been lucky because I have already created my accounts in the early morning just after midnight.

Yes, some people are reporting similar issues with new account restrictions.
