Default VAT in UK

I have received this message:

"
We noticed your Value Added Tax (VAT) details have not yet been updated. Unfortunately, we had to restrict your account from selling until we can confirm that you have a valid VAT number on file.

To start selling again

Register for VAT by visiting HMRC’s website.
Add or update your VAT number with eBay.
Confirm your business name on eBay matches what's on your HMRC registration. To make any edits, go to the Business Details section of your account.
"

1. let's say I`m able to register a business to VAT, and change the name of the eBay store that the name of the LTD I`m using, does the name on the eBay account much match the name registered with the LTD?

2. I don't want to do the same mistake on my other accounts but want buyers to feel safe about the location of the item.
I was thinking about using Ireland as the country, since the items are within the UK.

also, can I use the correct, within UK shipping service or use a service matching the item location?

Stealth accounts, obviously.

Thank you.

On the 1st account Iv'e received the message in,
Item location was UK, and that what triggered the message - I understand that.
ebay registration country for the stealth account is Israel.

Is there any proffered country as location when it comes to eBay UK?
I`m not sure buyer would like the fact the item location on eBay is not UK.

Thank you.

if account is registered outside the UK you can only sell with UK location after providing UK VAT number

otherwise you can take any other country as location but ebay will collect VAT

Any help or advise how to reinstate the stealth account without adding VAT Details is appreciated.
or should I forget about it?

To be fair, its unlikely anyone is going to tell you on an open forum how to get around this.

I have a method that works, but I won't be able to share it, sorry.

You'll just have to figure your own way on this one, but what I can tell you, is that it can be done.

They do do this randomly sometimes. Sometimes they look at your current turnover and what they project you will sell, so the 'safe' zone is £50k-60k.

There are workarounds though, get creative. I remember Covid years where i blitzed the VAT thresholds over double and got the request. Never provided nor registered for it...

How much have you been selling in what timeframe? Beached makes a good point about projected rate/targets coming into play
