| fernendo | 02-20-2025 10:29 PM | Ebay UK - Provide ID Hi all I purchased a stealth account back here in 2022. It’s been working fine but now I’ve been hit with a request for ID (it’s asking for ID only nothing else)
1) If anyone here can help me with sorting out Docs I’d be very grateful. I messaged the seller but I think he's long gone.
2) If I don’t resolve this by the deadline I’m sure they will suspend my selling. If this happens will my balance eventually be returned to me or be stolen by ebay forever? On a previous account suspension the money was returned to me after a few months however the suspension on that occasion wasn't for failing to provide ID it was for policy violation.
3) I’ve found a loophole for the existing funds stuck in my account. It won’t allow me to withdraw but it allows me to use funds to pay for postage so from this moment on all my postage needs (even ones that are nothing to do with ebay) are being paid for through this account as this will allow me to salvage as much of my balance as possible in the event that my account is limited and ebay don’t return my money. It’s a race against time for me to spend as much money as possible on postage
**Side note** If anyone needs any UK postage please contact me as I would prefer my funds be put to good use rather than stolen by ebay. So I may be able to help you out in with postage labels. |

Re: Ebay UK - Provide ID Still needing the ID help? Who was the seller? |

Since about October 2022.
Turnover is low. Last year was just £838 in sales. This year maybe £150 so far.
Do you or does anyone else know what will happen to my balance if I fail the process? Is it eventually returned or "stolen" forever? |

It seems it doesn't have to be ebay related as I can create a label for an order then edit the address to anything I want so it seems like it's a loophole to get my hands on the frozen balance which is pretty cool. |

| hotadvice | 02-21-2025 10:56 AM | Re: Ebay UK - Provide ID and these are frozen funds...red banner frozen during 5 day review period? no way it can be permanently blocked account frozen funds? |

they ran his details through soft check , the check failed , now they want ID , after upload of ID in the same details account will be suspended |

Do you or does anyone else know what will happen to my balance if I fail the process? Is it eventually returned or "stolen" forever? | About 90 days in general for MP to transfer balance to bank |

So you're saying even if I submit ID I will definately be suspended? How come? |

when you have regular verification , not to confuse with restriction because of something specific you did , and they requested an ID this means the verification has already failed and if you confirm once more that the failed details are correct you will be suspended |

Nice work with the postage shout too. That can help a lot of people. |
| murdered_by_ebay | 03-15-2025 08:06 PM | Re: Ebay UK - Provide ID if docs are for details that can not be verified online wait for a couple of weeks , if everything remains the same you came through. when MP was implemented I uploaded docs for stealth several times and they were also accepted but later I was suspended. if it comes through now it is great |
| mon73 | 09-28-2025 05:05 AM | Re: Ebay UK - Provide ID If your selling is suspended for not providing ID, eBay might eventually return your balance. It depends on their policies and the specific reason for the suspension. Past experience doesn't guarantee the same outcome. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 03:27 PM. | |
