Receipts request- not got any, advice?
 

I had a break from sales from September, Private seller account 4-5 year old 300+ sales, mostly £100-300 items, 100% feedback. Good stats. Decided to start selling again, now ebay have changed to holding private sellers money hostage. Sold 6 new items £100-400 in value, total £1100 held hostage in the ebay. Should have went slower i know, didn't expect ebay to start doing paypals tricks. They requested i wait, i did, then request tracking. All tracking added, delivered and most left positive feedback already. Now they have request ID, Proof of Address and receipts. I don't have receipts, bought them off a bloke down the pub. Now i know that ain't going to fly with ebay. When ever i sent made up receipts in the past, (long time ago) that killed the accounts 100% of the time.

Can anyone advise how to proceed and pass this hold? PM if preferred.

Can you find the guy in the pub who sold you those items,he may be able to find you a supplier and makes up some receipt.

If you have the info they want...you will have to be creative and hope - or find someone who can do them. The "guy in the pub", if reachable, might be of interest...

Since tracking shows delivered,you may want to explain to Ebay YOU DOt no have receipts as you bought them from an indvidual,and see when they will release your fund

Would also suggest what agent said, but take in note that there is a high chance they don't accept that as answer (it depends on the CS you got assigned to deal with your case). Asking for receipts is basically part of the MC011 "Proof of ownership" on the items listed, so if they decline the first explanation the only way around it will be to actually find some receipts/invoices to match the items listed

Plenty of Ebay sellers find items in attic,garage sale,basement,even in garbage can,or their old wedding gifts,tell EBAY is not fair just to make you prove receipts,besides buyers have received the gifts and left feedback.
Some sellers even threaten to go to local radio/ newspaper to complain.
Another option is to make the pub guy made up some receipt and sign his name and phone number.
question,will Ebay eventually release your fund,since buyers have received the goods?

'some sellers even threaten' - lol, every seller does that, the keyboard warrior is loved by the eBay call centre peeps they have a good old giggle come lunch time. Also Stealth sellers certainly won't ever go to the newspaper.

'pub guy to sign his name' = LMAO, pub guy means the items have been 'acquired' in a questionable way, why the heck would they sign a piece of paper saying them sold them? lol

'EBay will eventually release your funds' - nope, nadad, definitely not is always the case.

Even if some of these could actually work, the main issue will be if the OP have listed and sold if they are ''same'' or ''similar''. As I said above - if they accept the explanations, great! But I wont count on that.

you are seriously underestimating agent , they recently admitted they were in the original programmer team of payoneer. we should all be proud of having a VIP giving advice here

I have been selling on Ebay and others which no longer exist for many many years,where were you?
How do you know they do not work,are you Ebay?
I know a lady who got suspended,she held up a sign outside Ebay headquarter every morning and finally got re admitted.
There was a time seller claimed they cannot fill their orderrs as they were hospitalised,and eBAY demanded to see his hospital records and name of doctor,now they wont bother or rather AI does not bother.
In the early days,people sent cash,money order,personal check to pay Ebay fees !
Sellers can call buyer at the end of the year to request payment for goods they won and actually work! I did once.
If you know so much,how did you get suspended?

How do you know?
Local newspaper does not care if you are working with a stealth account,it is a story to report,they may not even know what is a stealth account.
as to asking the pub guy ,when I travel on company account,I will ask the cab driver to scribble his initial and $ on paper ripped off from day old newspaper,and include it in my expense report.

I am suggesting ways which have help others sellers in the past,it is up to OP to decide if it is worth considering,it is not a debate to see who is smarter or know it all.

Yes, lets Go Stealth and create a newspaper report, which will often require a picture to go with the story of the 'real you' as you tell them you fraudulent lied to eBay using ⊗⊗⊗⊗ details to sell on the site and you're upset you got banned again or they withheld your money because you;re not who you say you are or couldnt provide them with a National Insurance number.

the pub guy story didn't wash ID and proof of address have, but they still want receipts. In everyone's opinion (except agent's) would providing receipts from a retailer such as amazon(but at a high price than i sold - so i made a loss) or a cowboy receipt from pub guy, i.e typed up with his address phone number etc and maybe a few words like I pub guy sold to stealth guy no returns no refunds sold as seen etc likely work best?

Just get a PDF receipt from a store that sells what you sold, and use a PDF editor. Its not rocket science. Do not send them a PDF though, take a screengrab as a JPEG and wash the exif data. Simple stuff.

eBay is holding your money because you're a returning seller and sold several items quickly for a significant total value. They're doing this to verify you're a legitimate seller and the items are genuine.

You are either a newbie(and it does not sound like you are),or you are naive or desperate or both.
I know sellers have overcome similar and worse situation than yours,and they get their fund,account reinstated ,so do not judge the rest of the world just because you have a problem.
Also if you are so pessimistic that you are not getting your fund back,why did you bother to ask,you should go find something new to sell and not waste your precious time here !
BTW,I have never have fund withheld.
