He is referring to net income after deducting costs of running the business-cost of goods sold,rent,postage,etc

I had a personal account which is not stealth, on my own details and eBay asked for The NI number. I input a wrong one. Anyway few days later I sold an expensive set of wheels and immediately after that eBay sent a message to all my accounts requiring to Upgrade to business accounts. All accounts are in my name and not stealth.

My question is, I don’t want to pay tax I’m only a small selller and rather not let the tax man know about my activities for side hustle. Sorry to be blunt but rather be truthful.

After upgrading ebay have asked me again to put NI number, should I ⊗⊗⊗⊗ it again or use my real one?

if you do not have a limited company it does not play a role whether business or not business so you can just upgrade

Big sellers on eBay don't need to give their National Insurance (NI) number to eBay just for selling. Argos wouldn't give the CEO's NI to eBay either.
