airmail from china to uk

waiting 4 weeks for airmail (no tracking) from china, anyone had it take this long?

e-phone 12-22-2009 12:09 PM

Yes i have, I asked my supplier and they said it was because There shipping is so busy during Xmas time

paypalpains 12-22-2009 01:35 PM

Could be held by china customs too, does happen, and has happened to me.

Better to speak with your agent, and ask him to find out.

GreenBean 12-22-2009 04:13 PM

Yep. Packages coming out of China in the period 11/15/2009--11/23/2009
have not arrived in the UK. Seems there was a heck of a lot of trouble with no tracking parcels :tears:

I imagine they are coming via The Silk Road on a caravan train :cheer:

dburnside 12-23-2009 06:01 AM

ive not had any take that long, 2 weeks max, no tracking info then it suddenly appears at door, 4 weeks i would be worried

oompaloompa 12-23-2009 06:11 AM

no, it doesnt have tracking, it doesnt exist for airmail apparently (not ems), I will need to do a paypal chargeback before 45 days, so I will leave it til just after Xmas..

997turbo 12-23-2009 09:29 AM

They sent via HONGKONG POST or CHINA POST??HONGKONG POST is mass now!Don't use..HONGKONG airmail can take up to 40 days to arrive uk!!CHINA POST is little bit quicker but in some case will be over 1 month still.

paypalpains 12-23-2009 05:42 PM

Why did you do airmail and not EMS?

And why are you buying items from China through Paypal?

GreenBean 12-23-2009 06:05 PM

^^^Because of costs AND buyer protection ;)

oompaloompa 12-29-2009 01:39 PM

still not arrived, will have to put in a dispute on pp, feel bad for seller, as its probably the postal service fault but oh well...

yes, airmail was all the the seller offered, so i thought i would give it a try, way cheaper shipping costs, but I would say best avoided, especailly around christmas, its probably sitting on some floor somewhere...

moloko 08-10-2010 07:41 AM

It depends what airmail you use. I use finair all the time, never had the problems with large orders.

MadSam 08-10-2010 08:45 AM

I think they were talking about EMS.

GreenBean 08-10-2010 08:55 AM
