Buyers restricted to 1 item per 10 days
 

Can anyone suggest why my buyers are restricted to 1 item per 10 days? I do not have the option selected in my account> selling preferences to restrict buying limits. I did used to but remove it, delist and relisted in case it was just stocky on old listing but no still buyers.

Ebay chat gave me a way to allow failed purchases to succeed if i allow the mthrough this link below but that requires the buyer to contact me so that i know they've attempted and can tell them to try again

Can anyone suggest other settings that could be causing this?

First we do need to clarify what you are selling or what category - helps for discussion. This is happening for multiple buyers from you, not just one?

Sounds like they may be scam buyers with a high return rate??

consumer electronics, i sell the same products on other accounts with no issues of being restricted to 1 per person. Its not scam buyers either as I've tested it with controlled accounts.

Via the link above i provided it had happened to 6 buyers within a month

Hmm doesn't feel like a setting on your end - seems like eb has either limited that particular item or has something on your account...

sounds like they flagged this buyer as risky and suspicious. POtential scammer.

In case anyone comes across this in future, it was sticky with existing listings. Delist and relist items allowed for repeat buyers. Nothing to do with suspicious buyers etc

Good work on finding the solution - did you find that delisting resulted in you losing some search results for your listing?
