What category of sales? Quite a bit can depend on that for outcome.

its cameras and laptops, which i know is high risk if not the highest risk. very rarely get any issues except a refund if a customer is unhappy or changed their mind. this account was in my personal name and got banned after about 7 years. the previous account was also in my name and banned after more than 10 years...

Too many refunds and returns? Yes electronics is high risk but not the worst - 7 years...10 years...oof brutal I know the feeling - not over electronics though

We wanted to let you know that your account has been permanently restricted from selling because of activity we believe was putting the eBay community at risk. We understand this must be frustrating, and please know that our decision was not made lightly. Measures like this help keep our marketplace safe for everyone. For more information, see our article on how and why accounts can be restricted or review our User Agreement.

Here’s what you should know
You will no longer be able to use your account to sell on eBay and any new accounts you set up may also be restricted.
If you have any listings, they’ve been removed and can be viewed below. Any fees paid or payable for listings that are ended and/or hidden from search will not be refunded or otherwise credited to your account.
Any store subscriptions have been cancelled.
You can still bid on and buy items from other sellers.
If you have any questions or concerns, please get in touch. We’re here to help

Very generic message - typical nonsense. You have given all the documents needed?

if the account had a clean performance the only other reason is the anti-fraud system where they evaluate your turnover

the turnover must not rise significantly within a short period of time , 10%-20% per month should be the upper limit

Ebay asks you to review its user agreement, may be you can find your answer there.
May be they found some issues with the documents you submiitted?where do you buy your laptops and cameras from?

Velocity tracking - true.

Business account with a new business name can work but about using the same ID, I'm iffy about given how eb scans and handles ID...possibie link is easily achievable.

Why not go creative route? Other UK members should post advice soon as well.

That feels like a good option - DL vs passport. Any other forms of ID accepted in the UK? I am only asking because I have only used DL or passport for creative UK matters...

Re: uk account restricted from selling

It depends on why they restricted your account from selling,is it you or the merchandise you are selling.
Ebay and brand manufacturers are known to buy an item and see if it is counterfeit,eg,Tiffany,Chanel,Leica,Meissen,Rolex, AAPL

I personally believe the docs you submitted as proofs had discrepancies, they may have doubted the validity of your invoices or bank statement submitted.

Do not retract information from your bank statement, show your full balance, all transactions (modify any if necessary), print and take pictures of the physical print outs, never upload the raw files as they scan them and compare them with real invoices, even 1% difference it's over.

Re-registering under your same alias with different docs will result in the same outcome, that's why we are here.

I was also banned after several years of outstanding seller metrics, looking back at it, the docs I submitted got me clipped.

Your best bet is to find a good eBay UK stealth acc vendor here, learn how to submit docs/invoices that pass. Time to get your stealth game on, good luck.
