Are savings accounts still good?

I have active stealth accounts from 2021/2022 that have saver banks attached, 2 of them still have the saver accounts. Another forced me to switch to a current account. Since 2023 I have been unable to add savers on any stealths. However, a recent one i got has a saver added but i suspect after a few £100 of sales ebay will force me to add a current account. Other than that, I think saver banks are extinct for new ebay stealths. Its all to do with the direct debit.

eBay need to be able to charge the bank if needed, they can only do that with a direct debit, savers don't offer that functionality so eBay has phased them out.
