Paypal Payments on hold..Possible Paypal Policy change!!!
I'm still receiving payments on hold even thou my eBay DSR is 21. I’ve only just opened this eBay & PayPal account 3 & half weeks ago. I’ve Emailed PayPal to ask why my payments are still on hold. This is what they said:
I have checked the account and I believe you are pertaining to the
transaction that is placed on hold amounting to £20.99 GBP. Please be
advised that before a hold is placed we review many factors including
transaction activity, business type, past customer disputes and overall
customer satisfaction. Here are some common reasons for holding payments:
• You have been an eBay and PayPal member for less than 6 months, and, have
limited selling activity.
• You have an eBay feedback score of less than 100 and do not have a record
of good performance
• You have a Buyer dissatisfaction percentage of 5% or greater than 5%
• You have an average Detailed Seller Rating (DSR) of less than 4.5
• You have received fewer than 20 Detailed Seller Ratings in the last 12
months
• You have a high rate of customer disputes
• You’re selling in a high risk category or industry such as, but not
limited to, tickets, travel, gift certificates, computers, consumer
electronics, or cell phones
• You have a spike in selling activities or begin selling in a category
without an established history
It shows here that you have just signed up for a PayPal account last 14th
of December 2009. That is the reason as to why your payments are being
placed on hold.
Your funds will be released when one of the following occurs:
• The buyer leaves you positive feedback
• 21 days pass without a dispute, claim, chargeback, or reversal filed on
the transaction
But this makes no sense because I’ve had loads of new PayPal and eBay accounts opened in the past and all I did to stop the payments for being on hold was to get my eBay DSR rating over 20 and the payments came in fine with no holds at all. And it even states in the policy that if your eBay DSR is over 20 then your Payments would come in without it being on hold. I think PayPal have changed their policy once again without notifying anybody.
