Your buyers shouldn't be giving you hassle if you are communicating with them.

Domestic post is also delayed in many areas of the UK so all your UK customers should be aware of the problem. Ebay is alerting buyers aswell.

Give it 6 months and the weather should be back to normal

The weather in the UK is never OK!
Is better for now than it was last week, however further forcasts for heavy snow are reported. < and in Oct 1987 we were in for a mild night, in the morning the country had been through the worst storm ever >

People complain even if it is a day late, your DSRs will get hit, get ready to switch to an adjacent ebay account....doesn't need to be stealth.

I wouldnt worry too much about DSR's. Most buyers are reasonable if you communicate with them.

You get about 1 idiot of out every 50 buyers

Someone who will be difficult no matter what.

Neo without launching off topic too much, If you stated in your listing "agreed to post within 3 days" and your item hasn't arrived (even next day) you will start to get a flood of emails. If you are a volume seller, this will snowball, won't be long before you are below 4.3 DSR, lost your discount, moved down Best Match and eventually restricted selling. If it has taken two weeks, expect the disputes also. Just my experience.

Well I wont argue with your experiences. All I can tell you is that if items are delayed then most buyers are reasonable and do generally not email you to complain.

I always list an item to say dispatch in 1 working day.

If i do get an email from a buyer it is just to enquire if I have posted the item.

I never get floods of emails or disputes raised once i have reponded to the initial email. Only if the item is lost and I would say thats about 1 in every 100 roughly.

I do the same - state dispatch within one working day! I communicatie to confirm dispatch and tracking (if available) and message again in a few days to ask if item has been received.

My DSRs on all accounts are either 4.9 or 5 - and I have found most buyers are very reasonable when it comes to dealys as long as you remain contactable and assure them you will refund if it doesn't arrive.

all the packages of dvds have been left china,on the way to uk,when i send the goods,i can tracking it on line at same day,it is very important,as i need to give the tracking number to our customers,if you can not tracking the goods on line,i am sure your goods still not be sent out or you goods still not be hand over to the offical EMS .I have more than 15 packages delay last week, but now slowly arrived in uk now.

actually this kind of situation never happend before ,as we keeping send a lot of packages to uk each week, sometimes 1 or 2 packages will delay 2 or 3 days,it is reasonable and acceptable, but during the two months,uk got big snow storm,90% of the packages got delay.

The weather may have improved but we are getting flooded out now with all the water from the melting snow and ice.

There were static caravans floating down the river in town today Quite a sight.
